DescriptionA Ziegler-style flute with 16 nickel silver keys to low B-flat. Wooden body, except for the embouchure section of the head joint, which is ebonite and features a Reform embouchure with raised blowing edge as registered by Otto Mönnig in 1904. Ebonite rollers on low C, low C#, low B, and low B-flat keys. This flute was probably made in Austria, Germany, or Italy. Ziegler style flutes show the influence of the Viennese maker Johann Joseph Ziegler (1795-1858).
