DescriptionPart of a quartet of Dölling bows.
Brown, octagonal pernambuco stick, mounted with a silver and tortoise-shell frog. The frog has a Parisian eye with mother-of-pearl in the center.
Solid silver button. All the silver fittings are engraved with a leaf pattern, except for the button, which has a geometric engraving.

ProvenanceKurt Dölling was related to the Meisels. His wife was Lothar Meisel's mother's cousin's daughter.
Purchased by Meisel Violins, Owatonna, Minnesota, from C. Meisel Music Co., Inc., New York, on April 7, 1975, for $2,234.08. According to a note from donor, "This quartett [sic] was in an intern. [sic] exhibition. Paris?-!---"
