DescriptionBrass, mother-of-pearl finger buttons, two double loops connected by horizontal pitch-change valve, main tuning slide at first bow (serving both keys), two tuning slides for B-flat (one between pitch-change valve and third valve, one between third and second valve), fixed leadpipe, four Périnet valves (1, ½, 1½, and pitch-change from default B-flat to E-flat), bottom sprung, alignment by one key on nickel-plated brass pistons, single water key at main tuning slide, windway 4-3-2-1-4, valves one to three with two valve loops each (shorter for E-flat, longer for B-flat)
This true double cornet in E-flat and B-flat is constructed like a double horn with two separate sets of tubing for each pitch and two separate loops for each valve. The fourth valve switches from one pitch to the other.
