DescriptionSilver-plated brass, bell interior gold-plated, mother-of-pearl finger buttons, double loop, quick-change to A with stop rod and lock nuts (first bow), high pitch / low pitch slide (two alternative slides) at narrow third bow, fixed leadpipe, three Périnet valves (1, ½, 1½), top-sprung, spring inside hollow stem, alignment by two unequal lugs on spring anchor plate, pistons nickel-plated brass, single water keys (quick-change, high/low pitch slides), windway 3-2-1.
Alternative sets of high pitch and low pitch main tuning slides and valve slides; silver-plated straight mute.

The patent mentioned on the quick-change slide refers to US patent 1,005,972, applied for by Frank Holton on March 9, 1908, and granted on October 17, 1911. Same model as NMM 7256 but with both sets of high pitch and low pitch tuning slides preserved.
