To facilitate playing, the mouthpiece receiver and the outer moving slide have a brass handle each. The mouthpiece receiver handle allows to hold the inner slide in a fixed position, while the handle on the outer slide allows it to be moved. The handles are positioned perpendicular to the main tubing and face in opposite directions for handling with the left and right hand respectively.
