DescriptionSilver-plated brass (originally satin-finished, now mostly polished), bell interior and signature highlights gold-plated and burnished, mother-of-pearl finger buttons, single loop, main tuning slide at first bow, rotary-valve quick-change to A with internal stop after valve segment, three Périnet valves (1, ½, 1½), top-sprung, spring inside hollow stem, alignment by three lugs on spring anchor plate, phosphor-bronze pistons, single water key at main tuning slide, windway 3-2-1.

Keefer offered the "Stentor" Trumpet with "Swivel Slide Bb to A" in both, the 1922 and 1924 catalogs. The earlier catalog describes the instrument's features and capacities as follows: With its rotary-change from Bb to A, the "Stentor" offers every facility to the player who takes both band and orchestra engagements, and its anti-friction-metal-lined valve casings, needle-spring-steel-poised phosphore-bronze pumps and perfection of workmanship afford the soloist every resource of virtuosity.
