DescriptionRed brass, yellow brass trim (no garland), single loop; slide with expansion-spring or elastic cord (rubber band replaced); helical fluting ferrules with thistle, shamrock, and rose decoration.

Brass mouthpiece with silver rim, stamped KÖHLER & SON / LONDON; three tuning bits; one bent shank stamped “F”

Four single-coiled crooks stamped “Eb”, “E”, “D” and “C” all of which can only be used as couplers in connection with the bent F shank, various tuning bits.

The instrument has a different address than the case. The Köhler firm moved from 35. Henrietta Street to 116. Victoria Street in 1881; this suggests that this trumpet may have been made in that year.
