DescriptionSilver-plated brass, bell interior, valve caps and water keys gold plated, gilded mother-of-pearl finger buttons, double loop in S-shaped formation, main tuning slide at first bow, push-rod activated quick-change to A slide at third bow, fixed leadpipe, three Périnet valves (1, ½, 1½), top-sprung, spring outside stem, alignment by one key on brass pistons, single water keys at both tuning slides, windway 3-2-1.
"American Favorite" was a trade name used by J. W. Pepper for instruments imported from Europe. The present cornet can be identified as product of the Bohemian firm Bohland & Fuchs in Graslitz based on the stamp “B & F” on the second valve casing.
