DescriptionBrass, double loop, tuning slide at second bow, removable leadpipe (shank), first and third valve transitional Stölzel/Périnet, second valve Périnet (1, ½, 1½), top-sprung with spring outside stem, alignment by one key on piston (brass), modèle français, windway 3-2-1.
Attribution to the Parisian firm of Gautrot is based on decorative features, such as the shape of the knob at the second valve, and especially the use of a transitional valve type that was produced by this firm. First and third valves retain the narrow diameter and vertical windway of the Stölzel valve, while the second valve is a normal Périnet valve.
