Attribution to the Parisian firm of Gautrot is based on decorative features, such as the shape of the knob at the second valve, and especially the use of a transitional valve type that was produced by this firm. First and third valves retain the narrow diameter and vertical windway of the Stölzel valve, while the second valve is a normal Périnet valve.
