DescriptionAccording to David Wainwright (Broadwood By Appointment, 1982), "In the cabinet piano, the lay-out of the upright grand piano was inverted so as to bring the heavier part of the instrument down to the floor and reduce the overall height to not much more than six feet."

This piano has two strings per note (bichord) and is straight strung. It has a compass of 6 ? octaves from CC-f''''. There are two pedals, the damper and the una corda. It utilizes a sticker action.

This piano is ornately carved, with two large decorated front legs. The front panel is covered with cloth. The fallboard is covered with thin machine-sawed veneer.
