Frog has a Parisian eye with mother-of-pearl in the center
Solid silver button
All the silver fittings are engraved with leaf patterns, except for the button which has a geometric pattern engraved on it
ProvenanceKurt Dölling was related to the Meisels. His wife was Lothar Meisel's mother's cousin's daughter.

Purchased by Meisel Violins, Owatonna, Minnesota, from C. Meisel Music Co., Inc., New York, on April 7, 1975, for $2,234.08. According to a note from donor, "This quartett [sic] was in an intern. [sic] exhibition. Paris?-!---"
