DescriptionBrass casings, wooden comb painted black. 2 reed plates with 16 brass reeds, 32 reeds per harmonica, 64 reeds. 16 double holes, each compartment housing 1 reed, 2 reeds per hole, blow and draw notes alternate holes.
Both brass covers have high-relief designs with two nymphs in the center playing trumpets, seated back to back. Flaring out to each end are double arched tiers of small and larger horns, 13 total on each end. The ends of the comb are decorated in a gold stamped design of a cherub’s head playing two trumpets, one out of each side of its mouth, and a floral motif. Original box.
