DescriptionMonte Cristo model harmonica. Imported for resale by Lyon & Healy Music Company, Chicago. This harmonica is part of a very rare boxed set of three harmonicas, one in the key of A, one in the key of D, and one in the key of G. This set is shown in an 1898 Lyon & Healy catalog and described thus: "The Monte Cristo in Sets, 10 single holes, steel bronze reeds, nickel reeds plates, in sets of 3, in fine silk plush case, assorted keys, one each in copper, silver and gilt covers."
