DescriptionMetal casings, wooden comb varnished caramel one side, painted black one side, and red on two sides, 2 brass plates with 10 brass reeds each, 20 reeds. 10 holes, 2 reeds per hole (1 blow, 1 draw).
The harmonica is mounted in a cylindrical brass resonator. A 1912 catalog boasts the Hohnerphone has a "strong trumpet tone." Several harmonica sizes were available with the Hohnerphone resonator.
