DescriptionSilver-plated brass, satin finish, mother-of-pearl finger buttons, double loop, three alternative main tuning slides at first bow, removable leadpipe (shank), three Périnet valves (1, ½, 1½), top-sprung, spring inside hollow stem, alignment by two unequal lugs on spring anchor plate, pistons nickel-plated brass, single water key at main tuning slides, windway 1-2-3.

The no. 78 Revelation Mellophone was normally supplied with alternative tuning slides for F, E-flat and D; a C attachment could be had at extra cost.
