DescriptionBrass, originally silver plated, narrow single loop, main tuning slide with quick-change to A stop rod at first bow, three Périnet valves (1, ½, 1�½), bottom-sprung, alignment by one key on nickel-silver-plated pistons, single water key at main tuning slide, windway 3-2-1.
This slender "peashooter" design was produced by Pan American between 1931 and 1948. A 1935 Pan American catalog advertises it as the "Frat" model with a 4¼ inch bell, "64-B-4. Polished Brass" and "64-B-2. Satin silver, gold bell." Although this trumpet now presents itself as the polished brass model, remnants of satin-finished silver plating suggest that it was actually made as model 64-B-2.
