The Church Lads' Brigade, founded in 1891, was an Anglican-only version of The Boys' Brigade. Lads could originally join at the age of 13 (school leaving age) and remain until they were 21. This B-flat bugle is typical of those used from 1891 until the present day, and represents the original form of the Boy Scout Bugle.
