DescriptionSilver-plated brass, satin finish with burnished highlights, bell interior and finger buttons gold-plated, the latter with mother-of-pearl inlay, double loop in S-shaped formation, quick-change to A with push rod (first bow), high pitch / low pitch slide with score mark on inner slides (second bow), fixed leadpipe, three Périnet valves (1, ½, 1½), top-sprung, spring inside hollow stem, alignment by three unequal lugs on spring anchor plate, pistons nickel-plated brass, single water keys (quick-change and third valve slide), windway 3-1-2.
Patent stamps refer to U.S. Patent no. 670,365, granted to Ferdinand A. Buescher on March 19, 1901, and U.S. Patent no. 869,619, granted to Buescher on October 29, 1907. The 1901 patent was for a cornet with “circular passage” around the second valve. The 1907 patent was granted for a bell in which the metal thickness increases continuously towards the bell rim. Both principles are implemented.
