DescriptionCopper, nickel-brass keys, brass trim, four-piece, single loop, horizontal tuning slide at first bow, seven keys, lowest key open (no screw), all others closed.
This keyed bugle shows unusual features, such as the bent tuning slide and a fingering system in which the middle finger of the right hand is used to operate the alternative d-key instead of the thumb. Stylistic features, such as the “flamingo head” d-key, the bell joint, the finger saddle, and the tone-hole-rims hint at a manufacture in Saxony.
