DescriptionLacquered brass (body), two alternative bells (one entirely of glass, the other with brass bell bow) attached to body with bell slide and fixed with ligature screws, single loop, main tuning slide at first bow, three Périnet valves (1, ½, 1½), top-sprung, spring inside hollow stem, alignment by two unequal lugs on spring anchor plate, nickel-silver-plated brass pistons, single water keys at main tuning slide and third valve slide, trigger with thumb hook at first valve and with pull-ring and stop-rod at third valve, windway 3-2-1.
Two Cashel glass bells: C1.459 and C2.459. One entirely of Cashel crystal (Model C1), the other one with brass bow and Cashel crystal bell (Model C2).
Daniel T. Parker’s Cashel Crystal Bell trumpet is an ultra-light reaction to the heavy-weight American trumpet designs introduced by David Monette. The light-weight glass trumpet bell is supposed to create a “balanced, clear and crisp projection and enhanced sonic properties.”
