DescriptionBrass, German silver, three separate straight segments (leadpipe/segment, middle section, bell), main tuning slide between first and second segment fixed with ligature screw, bell slide, three top-action mechanical linkage rotary valves (1, ½, 1½) with stop arm and spiral-spring return, windway 1-2-3.
This 9-foot B-flat trumpet is the equivalent of a 9-foot tenor valve trombone. Judging from the high serial number (95), Schopper made nearly one hundred Engelstrompeten.
