DescriptionPearwood, stained. Six finger holes. Turned ends.
The mark on this instrument was used by two brothers, Johann (b. 1716) and Joseph (b. 1722) Ögl, who worked in the Bavarian Alps. A handful of instruments made by the Ögl brothers survive, among them recorders and other transverse flutes of various sizes.
