Lyon & Healy was among the many American instrument manufacturers represented. The company filled a two-story pavilion with its wares, including this intricately inlaid drum. A reporter raved that the “graceful design and elaborate decoration” of Lyon & Healy’s exhibit “surpassed all other efforts in the history of music in connection with the great Expositions.”Rope tension with 10 leather tugs.
