DescriptionSilver-plated brass, mother-of-pearl finger buttons, double loop, main tuning slide with quick-change to A push rod at first bow, small loop after valve segment serving as second tuning slide (only low-pitch surviving, high-pitch slide likely lost), fixed leadpipe, three Périnet valves (1, ½, 1½), bottom-sprung, alignment by one key on “slik-valve” steel pistons, single water keys at main tuning slide and third-valve slide, windway 3-2-1

Silver-plated lyre.

Pan American offered this model as 50A between 1931 and 1938. This particular instrument is finish number 3, “Rich satin silver with inside of bell, engraving design and other prominent parts handsomely burnished for added beauty” with bore # 2 (0.468’’) and a 4½’’ inch bell.
