SignedOn both sides of the neck in the bass, black letters on gold ground: Pleyel Wolff Lyon & Cie (Paris) Harpe syst- Gve LYON (Breveté.)DescriptionCross strung with the diatonic strings attached to the right-hand side of the neck (from the player’s viewpoint), the accidentals attached to the left side. Compass DD to g4 (78 strings). Cast-iron neck integral with the pillar and the beam to which the bass strings are hitched within the lower part of the body. Seven buttons on the right side of the neck and five on the left side sound metal bars inside the neck providing pitch standards for all notes of the chromatic scale at a1 = 435 hz.
