Head: three-piece maple with brown burled wood veneer over maple and dark brown hardwood on front; ebony truss rod cover, secured to front with two domed slot-headed brass screws
Neck: maple with medium curl and prominent pith flecks; integral with head
Heel cap: brown burled wood veneer
Binding: none, soundboard and back edges overhang sides
Fingerboard: ebony bound in maple; dark hardwood strip trim on sides; 22 large nickel-silver frets; black side dots behind 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 15th, 17th, and 19th frets; double black side dots behind 12th fret
