Stringing: six gut strings
Soundboard: two-piece spruce, very narrow grain
Back: one-piece semi-slab-cut maple: narrow curl descending from treble to bass
Ribs: two-piece semi-slab-cut maple with narrow curl, divided by wide, dark-brown stained maple end graft, surrounded on each side by four-ply alternating strips of maple and brown-stained maple
Head: slotted, black-painted maple; scarf joint with neck
Neck: black-painted maple; tapered, rounded heel
Heel cap: ebony
Binding: brown-stained maple maple with trim comprised of seven alternating strips of maple and brown-stained maple on top; no binding or trim on back
Fingerboard: brown-stained pearwood; end follows contour of soundhole; 17 brass frets; later white-painted dots behind 5th, 7th, and 10th frets
Nut: ebony
Bridge: black-stained maple rectangular with moustaches, the ends terminating in domed ebony circles with abalone eyes; brass saddle; three ebony pins with abalone eyes; three later rosewood pins
Tuners: two sets of brass and steel worm-gear machine tuners with brass rollers, elongated, oval-shaped bone heads; tuner plates are inlaid into sides of head
Endpin: later pine
Rosette: abstract abalone feathers set into black mastic, surrounded on each side by trim comprised of alternating squares of maple and brown stained maple, surrounded on outside by four-ply alternating maple and brown-stained maple strips, surrounded on inside by triple-ply maple and brown-stained maple strips, the whole rosette set in from soundhole edge
Varnish: clear on top; brown on back and sides; neck and head painted black
Linings: spruce
Neck block: spruce; rounded corners
End block: spruce; rounded corners
Top braces: three large spruce parallel braces, tapered and set into linings; no bridge plate; bridge pins extend through top above lower bout brace
Back braces: three large spruce parallel braces, tapered and set into linings; beech and maple trapezoidal cleats along inside of back joint
