DescriptionSet of trombone components from Courtois that was used to demo the Evolution 700 series large bore instruments at trade shows. This kit was first used in 2000 at the Winter NAMM exposition in Los Angeles, CA [as shown on shipping labels from box] to debut the Evolution 700 for the 2001 production year. The E700 was a modular instrument, first listed for sale by Leblanc in the 2000 retail price list, designed to compete with the Edwards and Shires offerings of the day - all the components were interchangeable with simple operations. The E700 was discontinued after only a few years of production, shortly before Courtois ended its relationship with Leblanc as a stateside distributor, becoming part of the Buffet Crampon group. The set contains the following components: - 5 bells
- 4 slides
- 2 valve sections
- 1 straight neckpipe
- 2 tuning slides
- 4 leadpipes
This instrument no longer appears in the 2003 Leblanc retail price lists, giving this horn a limited production span of roughly 3 years.
