Case worn and repaired multiple times, including additional wood on the bottom of case and metal reinforcements to edges; entire case re-painted black over the original finish; mechanism for opening case no longer functional, so a bit clunky - it originally employed a curved metal groove and guide pin; bellows air tight; two swells (greater and lesser) one swell functional; case doesn't close entirely from unstable structural support
