ProvenanceDaniel Draley examined this bow in 1977, at the home of Charles Sindelar. The bow was among the effects of Frank Sindelar, fine violin maker, who died in 1972. The vast majority of the bows from the Frank and Charles Sindelar collection were not sold until the death of both men. The bow was purchased by Draley from the only surviving daughter of Charles Sindelar.
