DescriptionTop: two-piece, quarter-cut spruce: fine grain, broadening to wide at the flanks; maple dowel through top into top block on treble side of center joint; maple dowel through top into bottom block on Bass side of center joint
Back: two-piece, quarter-cut maple: prominent, narrow curl, descending from center joint; narrow button
Ribs: quarter-cut maple: narrow curl, angled to left on upper and center Bass ribs, and treble ribs, angled to right on lower Bass rib; rib corners rounded; edges slightly rounded to continue top and back edging shape
Head and neck: maple: prominent, very narrow curl; inside of pegbox stained dark brown
Edging: edges tapered and flush with ribs; edges not scooped
Varnish: medium orange; shaded; blacking on top near bridge; prone to chipping; light orange varnish on neck
Fingerboard: black-stained ebony
Nut: missing
Pegs: four boxwood with flat, undercut heads
Saddle: ebony; curved to shape of edge; finished with same varnish as body
Endpin: black-stained pearwood
F-holes: long; slightly undercut; inside edges stained black
Linings: spruce
Corner blocks: spruce lower corner blocks; no upper corner blocks
Other: circular saw and burn marks visible on inside of ribs
