Augustus H. Carver, listed as the original purchaser in the Holton Ledger, was born in Pennsylvania on September 6 1854 and lived in Duluth MN in the 1895 census. In 1900 he was in Brainerd. He died on July 2, 1923 and is buried in Luverne, Minnesota. His occupation was minister/preacher.
According to Arne B. Larson, “played in Crooks, South Dakota Band by Allen B. Johnson, 1930. Obt. In May 1968.”
