DescriptionH. N. White carried a total of four main model lines. In order of the quality and cost (from most expensive and professional to the cheapest student model): King; Cleveland; American Standard; and Gladiator. The Gladiator line was developed in 1935 and catered even more to the demand for inexpensive student instruments. The line only offered trumpets/cornets (only in B-flat), trombones, and silver clarinets (Boehm system only), and regardless of the instrument, each sold for $40.
