DescriptionSilver-plated brass body, satin finish
Fixed leadipe, modification of the usual s-shaped form with the main tuning slide at the second bow and the push-rod-activated, quick-change to A (pushrod missing) on the third bow; quick-change with removable double slide either for C (when removed) or B-fat (when inserted).
Main tubing enters the third valve and exits the first.
Single water key at first bow.
French rim.
Three top-sprung Périnet valves, spring outside stem, alignment by lug on piston fitting in groove of valve casing; touchpieces with mother-of-pearl inlay.

This cornet matches the Jenkins Special Vocal Cornet No. 803 as offered in a J. W. Jenkins catalog (1924). However, since Jenkins was merely a dealer, it is more likely that this is a stencil of the 73A International Model from Pan American Band Instrument and Case Company, which is also featured in a ca. 1924 catalog. Pan-American collaborated with J. W. Jenkins at least since 1926.
