DescriptionSilver-plated brass body, satin finish, bell interior originally gold-plated (now mostly worn off), single loop
Fixed leadpipe, main tuning slide at first bow with push-rod-activated quick-change to A; second tuning slide with micro-tuning-device after valve section
French rim with iron wire insert
Single water key at the main tuning slide and the third valve slide

Three top-sprung Périnet valves, spring inside hollow stem; two unequal lugs for piston alignment in grooves inside valve casing; knuckled-out porting, touchpieces with mother-of-pearl inlay; holders for rods (now lost) used to automate necessary pull out of first and third valve slides for quick-change from B-flat to A.
