DescriptionSilver-plated brass. Curved soprano with integral neck. Written range: Bb-F. One octave key. Bis Bb, side Bb, forked F#, and side C key. Split Eb key. Mother-of-pearl touchpieces. Mother-of-pearl little finger rollers. Keys on bell (from player’s perspective) with low C# and low B on left side; low Bb on right side.
This saxophone and NMM 5662 are the exact same model, built in the same year; however, this saxophone is built in low pitch, whereas NMM 5662 is built in high pitch. The difference in the overall height of the two instruments is approximately 1.25 inches, NMM 1789 being the "longer" of the two saxophones as measured from "top to bottom."
