DescriptionBody of wooden sections, final bell section made in two halves, interior painted red; covered with rough textile, painted black and lacquered; ferrules, braces, and keys of brass; finger bushings of ivory.

Six fingerholes and two brass keys in box mounts with brass flat springs, one key on the front (above the upper fingerhole triad), one on the back (on the lowest bow). Keys of different age, lower key likely original, upper key possibly later.
Brass carrying loop on brass mount on back.
Brass bocal with tab seam.
