MarkingsBlack plastic pressure label on back of head: 6675DescriptionAlamo Electronics was born when Charles Eilenberg, a WWII communications engineer, was recruited by the head of Southern Music to found a record player and radio manufacturing company. In the early 1950s, the company ventured into electric Hawaiian guitars and amplifiers. By the early 1960s, Alamo instruments were sold through the national distributor C. Bruno & Son. The NMM’s Titan Mark I is an affordable, lightweight, hollow-body instrument.

Pickups: two pickups with chrome-plated covers, two each ivory plastic volume and tone knobs with “VOLUME” and “TONE” on silver stickers and numbers from 0 to 10 in black ink; 3-way selector switch with black plastic knob
Body: red-to-black sunburst lacquered maple with two cutaways; white plastic plate over body cavity secured to top with 15 nickel-plated steel domed Philips' head screws
Head and neck: maple; integral with head; white plastic truss rod cover secured to head with three nickel-plated steel domed Philips' head screws; neck secured to body with three nickel-plated steel domed Philips' head screws
Fingerboard: rosewood; nickel-silver T-frets; single white plastic dots and white plastic side dots behind the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 15th, and 17th frets; double white plastic dots and side dots behind the 12th fret; later green and red round stickers behind first fret on top two strings; later yellow and red round stickers behind second fret on 3rd and 4th strings
Nut: white plastic
Bridge: rosewood saddle on nickel-plated steel with nickel-plated brass height adjustment screws; chrome-plated steel hand rest covering bridge
Tuners: later six on one side nickel-plated steel Kluson tuners with white plastic heads, installed 2021 for NMM Goes Electric Exhibit
Strap buttons: aluminum
Finish: red to black sunburst lacquer on body; yellow-to-black sunburst lacquer on head; clear on neck
