DescriptionSilver-plated brass. Three, top-action piston valves. Front action piston valve for extra bell. Mother-of-pearl touchpieces.
ProvenanceOriginally belonged to donor's great, great grandfather, Fletcher Wachter, who worked as a clerk in Glasgow, Missouri, moving to St. Louis in 1900 to be a letter carrier. According to donor, Wachter played it in the opening ceremony of the World's Fair in St. Louis (1904).
