Animal horn ferrules, except for one brass ferrule on the foot which is a later replacement.Attribution to Jean Baptiste Martin is based on the similarity of the maker’s stamp (as faint as it is) to that of more clearly marked flageolets and a flute in collections in Washington, D. C., and in Amsterdam.
