DescriptionMaterials: rosewood back and sides with delicate purfling along outer edges and straight
down back. Spruce top, varnished
Decoration: Soundhole ringed with purfling in several circles; inlaid with diamond-
shaped mother-of-pearl. Bridge decorated with mother-of-pearl. Three bone buttons on
back and end.
Valves, keys, strings, etc.: Six strings; 18 frets; very ornately decorated mechanical peg
mechanism stamped BAKER. Pegs are elaborately shaped mother-of-pearl. Bone
dowels to which strings are attached in pegbox.
