DescriptionThe label in the lid corresponds to the label in the NMM's small violin made by Pietro Jacomo Rogeri, Brescia, 1715, NMM 3362. Both the instrument and the case were acquired from the Bisiachs and it seems that they are associated.

Waisted form single case; wood-Framed; cowhide-covered, the bottom opening for violin and bow to slide in; brass-studded; steel locks; original key

Decoration: “DGC” studded on bottom
