Fingerboard: dark-brown-stained maple; 17 nickel-silver T-frets [17th fret is missing]; single dot mother-of-pearl inlays behind 5th and 10th frets; slotted diamond mother-of-pearl inlays behind 7th and 12th frets; mother-of-pearl double dots inlaid behind 15th fret
Heel cap: rosewood veneer; nickel-plated steel bar around heel helps secure neck to maple rim
Head: calf-skin

Rim: maple with dark-brown stained maple veneer, dark-brown stained maple veneer around lower edge; imitation wood inlay light-brown and reddish-brown geometric-patterned stripe decal around circumference near back
