Ribs: quarter-cut maple: varying curls, narrow in upper and center bouts, broad in lower bouts, angled to right on bass side, angled to left on treble side
Head and neck: maple: medium curl; inside of pegbox stained black
Purfling: narrow center strip
Varnish: medium orange
Fingerboard: black-stained, dark tropical hardwood
Nut: ebony; later
Pegs: four black-varnished ebony
Saddle: ebony; finished with same varnish as body
Endpin: ebony with mother-of-pearl eye
F-holes: slightly undercut; inside edges stained black
Linings: spruce
Corner blocks: spruce lower corner blocks; no upper corner blocks
