SignedStamped just below the ferrule, above organ section: CAROBI / CLUSONEDescriptionClarinet bell made of boxwood with ivory top ferrule. The bell is very ornately carved, in high relief, depicting: a pipe organ surmounted by an angel with wings; two Saints (with halos) on each side of the angel, one holding a single flower, the other holding a cross; a third, bearded saint (monk?) carved on the side opposite the organ, holding one hand to his chest and looking at a lily(?) plant; and eleven musicians as if sitting/standing behind a railing. This group includes: an organist/ director (in profile, with 1 hand outstretched), 3 vocalists, a cello (or other bass bowed stringed instrument) player, 2 horn players (hand-in-bells!), 2 woodwind players (one plays, one does not play) (oboe, clarinet?), and 2 violinists (only one is playing; the other is being handed music by the director).
