DescriptionSilver-plated brass body, main tuning slide at second bow, high/low-pitch tuning slide at third bow, removable leadpipe, modèle français bell orientation (bell centered between leadpipe on the right and valves on the left); three top-sprung Périnet valves, spring outside stem, alignment by key on piston.

The Étoile (Star) model was based on French Patent no. 76605, issued to Madame Besson (Florentine née Ridoux) on May 29, 1867. Characteristics of this model are the unaligned first and third-valve loops.
