Description5 sections: barrel, top joint, middle joint, bottom joint, bell. Simple system; 6 brass keys with square, flat covers, mounted in rings and blocks, with springs attached to keys; stained boxwood body; ivory ferrules (one brass ferrule, later replacement); sixth key is a A/B trill; cocus mouthpiece with long shank; wooden mouthpiece cap.
