DescriptionBrass; bell garland with serrated upper edge and acanthus-leaf stamps; Nuremberg rim, impressed wire with foliate butt pattern; ferrules with engraved and impressed rings (mostly not original).

This trumpet was put together from the remains of three instruments: Most parts went into the creation of the 1664 Hainlein trumpet at the Trumpet Museum in Bad Säckingen (no. 11201), while the 1666 garland was combined with the remaining bell and other parts in conjunctions with replacement parts (most of the ferrules). The lower part of the bell (ca. 250 mm) dates from the period of the garland and shows heavy wear, as does the bell rim.
