Description5 sections: barrel, top joint, middle joint, bottom joint, bell. Simple system; 6 brass keys with square, flat covers, mounted in blocks, with springs attached to keys; boxwood body; ivory ferrules; sixth key is a A/B trill; cocus (?) mouthpiece with long tenon; boxwood mouthpiece cap.

Christopher Adam Gerock (about 1772/3-1850) of German ancestry was a maker of musical instruments active in London between 1804 (same year he was naturalized by Act of Parliament, and granted freedom of the Company of Musicians) and 1837. He worked at 76 Bishopsgate until at least 1826. Between 1824 and 1826, he engaged in a partnership with the successors to George Astor (Gerock, Astor & Co.), operating at 79 Cornhill. The firm was known as C. Gerock & Co. during the period 1827-1837.
